The Build Process

What counts as "48 hours"?

48 business hours after we accept your submission. If we need clarification or additional materials, the timeline pauses until everything is complete. Free builds are subject to availability.

What's included in a free course build?

A short, launch-ready course built from your materials, typically 3–5 minutes, with a simple knowledge check. If your course is too long we will only make the first few minutes.

What's not included?

Complex branching, multi-language support, deep customization, custom design systems, long-form video production, legal or policy review, or multi-course curricula. Larger or more complex requests may require a paid engagement.

Submissions & Materials

What files can I upload?

PDF, DOCX, TXT, and MP4 files are supported. If your materials live elsewhere, you can paste text or share links during submission.

Can I upload confidential or sensitive documents?

Please avoid uploading sensitive personal data, regulated information, or highly confidential materials. Use sanitized or representative content. If you require stricter data handling, contact us before submitting.

Ownership & Usage Rights

Who owns the course?

You retain ownership of your original materials. You own the finished course we produce for you. Lightning LMS retains ownership of the platform, delivery system, and underlying templates.

Can I use the course for compliance or audits?

Many teams do, but you are responsible for reviewing, approving, and validating the content before assigning it. Lightning LMS does not provide legal, HR, or compliance advice.

Program Limits

How many free courses can I request?

Each customer or organization is eligible for one free course build. If you need additional courses or ongoing support, we're happy to talk about next steps.

Can you refuse a submission?

Yes. We may decline or limit requests that are out of scope, violate rights, present legal or security risks, or conflict with platform policies.
